Objectives
The World Forum for Direct Investment is a prestigious calendar fixture for business leaders, chief executives, senior management and decision-makers from multinational companies and from economic development agencies worldwide to hear and discuss the latest news and trends on international corporate strategy concerning business development, location requirements, people and future expansion. Previous World Forums for Direct Investment 2003, 2004, and 2005 were held in Amsterdam, Brussels and London respectively.
The World Forum for Direct Investment 2006 is held by Red Hot Locations (www.redhotlocations.com) in association with Valencian Community Investments (VCI) the Valencian regional government organisation promoting inward investment.
The event will take place in Valencia, Spain, and will bring together multinationals and expanding companies along with government development and investment agencies, and intermediaries, all involved in the foreign direct investment "deal".
Programme
The programme revolves around presentations from business leaders on global industry trends and specific business and product plans, which in turn impacts on company expansion and direct investment. We will also be investigating industry sectors of the future, along with markets of the future – both as sources and destinations for trade and foreign direct investment. This international event addresses issues affecting the economy of all countries and continents.
Audience
The companies and guest invited to the forum will attend this key event to hear innovative business and product development affecting their specific industry, and all will be inward investors – into Europe and out of Europe into other continents - globally mobile.
The second group of attendees will form the 4th Annual Meeting of Development Agencies and decision-markers will attend from every continent. Las year attracted investment agencies from the following countries: Australia, Austria, Bahrain, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Hungary, Italy, Korea, Mexico, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Spain, Trinidad & Tobago, Turkey, The Netherlands, United Kingdom and the United States.
The third group are the intermediaries who bring investors and locations together: advisors, consultants, banks, law firms, property firms.
Networking
This networking forum provides a backdrop for senior executives and decision makers to discuss business. In 2006 we will we will be celebrating the World Forum for Direct Investment in the glamorous surroundings of the Valencian "City of Arts and Sciences" - a breathtaking development alongside the Spanish Mediterranean, designed by local architect Santiago Calatrava.
Apart from dynamic conference programme, the networking will take place in magnificent venues both indoors and alfresco, and there will be some inclusion of the port area which is undergoing a € 2bn facelift in time for the America’s Cup which Valencia will host in 2007. There will also be a spouse programme running alongside the conference programme and a tourism package of events offered as a week-end extension to the forum, for you enjoy the city, sea and sights.
